The 16th edition of the EXPO FCT, the largest Science, Engineering, and Technology exhibition, took place on April 10th, 2024, organized by NOVA School of Science and Technology, at Caparica Campus.
The aim of this Open Day is to facilitate the choice of higher education for pre-university young people through demonstrations/activities in the areas of Science and Engineering and involving the Departments, Research Centers and Student Association Centers in the various scientific, technological and pedagogical aspects.
The FCT EXPO is an excellent opportunity to clear up any doubts and have direct contact with students and lecturers and experience the university experience of one of the largest and most prestigious Science and Engineering schools in the country.
Throughout the day, students have access to experiments, visits to laboratories and many other activities, organised to encourage curiosity and interest in the various careers and professions in the areas taught in FCT NOVA. Students are also able to explore recreational activities that give them a flavour of the academic environment on a campus with unique characteristics in the country.
The BONEX project was represented by NOVA team members of the project, explaining the WEFE Nexus concept and the interaction between these elements, with an exercise where a causal loop diagram was developed by students, present the demonstration projects, and discussed the role of Nature Based Solutions to promote the sustainability of the agricultural landscape.
