From August 12โ€“15, 2024, the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) General Conference took place at University College Dublin. This prestigious event brought together approximately 2,500 scholars from across Europe and beyond, both in-person and online, to foster cutting-edge research and inspire meaningful discussions across all sub-disciplines of political science.

Nora Schรผtze, from the University of Kassel, co-organized a panel titled “Addressing Innovations in Public Policy Through the Institutional Analysis and Development Framework.” The panel featured five presentations that explored digital, technical, organizational, and social innovations, and examined how governments formulate, implement, and evaluate related policies. In addition to her role as co-chair of the panel, Nora also delivered a presentation titled “Innovative Approaches to Address Challenges of a Local Agri-Food System in Portugal: Combining Institutional Analysis and Participatory Systems Mapping.” Her presentation offered insights into the BONEX Demonstration Project in Portugal, highlighting how the integration of systems thinking with institutional analysis can deepen our understanding of Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) nexus systems.
