Dr. Olfa MAHJOUB, coordinator of BONEX Demosntration Pilot in Tunisia, has participated in the Euro-Mediterranean Conference on water reuse, REUSE MED 2024, organized in Montpellier, France. The conference aims to identify future common synergies to support operations and policies in the following areas: Governance of REUSE, health and environmental risks, water treatment processes for REUSE, feedback from local authorities, and the REUSE for agriculture.

The conference was co-organized by the AFEID, the network Reuse of the INRAE and the Chaire Partenariale Eau, Agriculture et Changement Climatique at the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie, Montpellier, France.

During the conference, Olfa Mahjoub featured BONEX Project and its activities and innovations among the international communities of scientists/researchers, professionals, technicians, policy and decision-makers, etc. present at the conference. For a large dissemination, brochures of BONEX were distributed to participants, representatives of several international organizations and institutions among which the organizing institutions, international renown experts in reuse, and funding organizations. Discussions also took place around the project its objectives, activities and expected results and impacts in addition to promoting the final conference of BONEX that will take place on 11-12 February in Rabat, Morocco. As a result, Olfa Mahjoub was offered the membership of the AFIED for one year.
